ABOUT ITI,BASOHLI
Industrial training institute , Basohli was established in December 1988 and started its first batch of trainees in July 1989. ITI Basohli is situated at a distance of about 02.00 Km from Basohli town . It is one of the developed tehsils of District Kathua and has the distinction of having one well known water bodies flowing through it, River Ravi .
BASOHLI is known for its ancient name vishavsathli. It is famous for painting & pashmina shawl. There are also old palace which is located outside the Basohli town.
The institution is under PPP mode and the IMC has envisioned ITI, Basohli to become a center of excellence, with total commitment towards quality in Skill Development. Industrial training institute Basohli is running under the Administrative control Of Directorate of Skill Development Jammu & Kashmir, implementing Craftsmen Training scheme sponsored by Director General Employment & Training (DGE&T) New Delhi.Presently 177 is the intake strength of trainees in the institute.
